I like to think food is a big deal. It impacts our health, fitness, spending, savings, environment, free time, decision making, relationships, hobbies, culture, religion, belief systems, upbringing, and loads more. Back when I first studied food and nutrition at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, I was basically only interested in its relationship to my health and wellness; leaving a lot of territory yet to explore.

Fast forward a decade, and I’m ready to look at all these other areas. I’ve decided to start this blog as an opportunity to fill some of the gaps I mentioned above. In addition, I’m dedicating this quest to answer the timeless question- What’s food got to do with it?
